Home Health: How Delta Chem-Dry Removes Allergens and Dust from Your Home

The carpets, furniture, and rugs in your home trap dirt and dust within their fibers. These fabrics keep particles out of the air we breathe, but just like an air filter, carpets become saturated over time. Proper cleaning is essential to help your pieces last and preserve your indoor air quality. Regular, professional cleaning services are the best way to care for your home.

For the 1 in 5 Americans (roughly 60 million) that have allergies or asthma, the removal of airborne molecules is especially important. Healthier indoor air can be attained through regular vacuuming and cleaning. You should have your carpets, rugs, and upholstery professionally cleaned every 3 to 4 months to rid your home of common allergens and dust.

Lab Study Results

Chem-Dry commissioned a leading independent air quality laboratory to conduct a study on our ability to remove allergens from your home. They tested our innovative Hot Carbonated Extraction (HCE) carpet and upholstery cleaning method. We tested not only allergens in our carpet cleaning but also our upholstery cleaning and our Pet Urine Removal Treatment (P.U.R.T.®). This study used a cross-section of various consumer homes throughout both the US and the rest of the world.

Here are the results from the final report:

chem-dry removes 98.1% pf allergens from carpets and upholstery

Carpet & Upholstery

Our Hot Carbonating Extraction (HCE) process was tested by a leading independent air quality laboratory in multiple homes. The lab found that Chem-Dry removes an average of 98.1% of common household non-living allergens from carpets and upholstery. The common allergens tested were dog and cat dander and dust mite allergens.

chem-dry removes 99.9% of pet urine odors from carpets

Pet Urine Removal Treatment (P.U.R.T.®)

An independent laboratory also conducted multiple tests of P.U.R.T., our revolutionary process for treating pet urine odors and stains. In tests against the most common odor sources found in dog and cat urine, the study concluded that P.U.R.T. removes an average of 99.9% of pet urine odors from carpets.

CHEM-DRY VS. ALLERGENS

Indoor air quality impacts all of us, and particularly those who suffer from allergies and disorders like asthma. Too many allergens can prompt an allergic reaction or asthma attack.

The fact is, we spend an average of 90% of our time indoors! That’s why professional carpet cleaning is very important for the health of your home and your family. However, not all carpet cleaning services are alike. So you want to know why Chem-Dry is more effective than other Los Angeles carpet cleaners? Our independent Home Health Study found that Chem-Dry’s Hot Carbonating Extraction (HCE) removed an average of 98.1% of common household allergens from the carpets and upholstery in multiple homes. The common allergens we tested include cat and dog dander and dust mite allergen.

IMPROVED INDOOR AIR QUALITY

Did you know that the average home harbors about 200,000 dust and allergen particles for every square inch of carpet? That makes billions of unwanted particles floating around your home when people walk, play, or sit on the carpet. Those circulate until you breathe them in or we come get rid of them.

Breathe easier! Make your home a healthy one! Whether because of allergies, asthma, or just healthiness, call Delta Chem-Dry to remove dust and allergens in your home. We will improve your indoor air quality and ensure a safe and healthy home environment for your family.

*Based on results from a study conducted by an independent laboratory using the Chem-Dry Hot Carbonating Extraction process. Allergens tested were dog and cat dander and dust mite allergen. Figures are an average across multiple homes.
